Academic Program

Our Gifted and Talented students learn with like-ability, like-minded peers from expert teaching staff in Mathematics, English, Science and Humanities. The GAT program is academically rigorous and educators may use compacting, extension or enrichment methods to enhance student outcomes. Students are encouraged to find their areas of passion and ignite these with project-based and inquiry learning experiences.

Engagement and Support

At Alkimos College, we understand that Gifted learners may face unique challenges in their educational journey or may be identified as Twice Exceptional. Some students may struggle at times with underachievement or disengagement. Our GAT Program Coordinator, Specialist teachers, Learning Support and Student Services staff provide a holistic approach and endeavour to meet the needs of each individual child, to ensure that they achieve their personal best. This may include tailored Individualised Education Programs, providing socialisation support or mentoring.
